Every synthetic parka ever made is an attempt to copy what wool does on its own - trap air, hold warmth, handle moisture. They get close on the first one and lose badly on the rest. Synthetic insulation traps your sweat against you, goes clammy the moment you work, and by February it carries a smell that no wash fully removes. Three winters and you are buying another one.
Wool has had a few thousand years to get this right. The fibers are crimped, so they hold pockets of warm air without needing bulk. They absorb moisture vapor before you ever feel damp. And the natural lanolin in the fiber is antibacterial, so it stays fresh through a whole season rather than a fortnight.
The BÆRSkin Wool Parka is 365gsm of that, built properly.
Wool Solved the Warmth. We Solved Everything Else.

The dense weave stops the wind. The fiber's outer cuticle sheds the rain and the snow. The crimp traps the air that keeps you warm. Nobody designed any of that - it is simply what wool is, and it is why shepherds, sailors and soldiers were wearing it long before anyone owned a laboratory.
We took it to 365gsm, put a diamond-quilted lining behind it, added our BÆR-Tex coating to the surface, and otherwise got out of the way.

Before synthetic outerwear existed, men handed their coats down, because a well-made wool coat outlasts almost everything else in a wardrobe. That is still true, and it is the entire argument for buying one instead of replacing a parka every third winter.
It handles the commute, the touchline, the long walk and the evening out without changing character between them. Hood on for the weather, hood off for town.

An 80% wool and 20% polyamide shell at 365gsm, with a 100% polyester diamond-quilted lining and polyester fill. The polyamide in the shell adds strength and abrasion resistance to the wool without diluting what the wool does.
