BÆRSkin Wool Hoodie | BÆRSkin Tactical Supply Co.

Gray wool hooded jacket with snow, labeled features: 7 pockets, YKK zips, Velcro patch, adjustable hood, cuffs and hem

The Original BÆRSkin Hoodie Design, Maxxed Out with The Warmest Fiber on Earth.

The 340gsm BÆRSkin MicroFleece Hoodie is the best-selling thing we have ever made, and it has earned that. Hundreds of thousands of men wear one through winter after winter, and it does exactly what we built it to do.

This is that same hoodie, built in the oldest cold-weather fiber there is. Same silhouette, same adjustable hood and hem, same secure storage you expect from us - now in 365gsm of 80% wool.

Wool earns its place by what it does with moisture, wind and time.

Wool absorbs up to 30% of its weight in moisture vapor before it feels wet against the skin.
Natural lanolin in the fiber is antibacterial, so it stays fresh across a full season of daily wear.
Crimped wool fibers hold pockets of still air inside the fabric, so the warmth arrives without extra bulk.
A dense wool weave stops wind at the surface, which is where most of your body heat goes.

Two materials. Two jobs. The enemy is the wind and the wet outside, not the hoodie already in your wardrobe.

Built from the Ultimate Material That Outlasts Any Weather, and Keeps Going For Decades.

365gsm 80% Wool Shell

Crimped wool fibers hold pockets of still air between them, which is where the warmth comes from. The 20% polyamide adds the abrasion resistance that keeps a wool garment going through daily wear.

Moisture Regulation

Wool absorbs up to 30% of its weight in moisture vapor before it feels wet against the skin, and releases a small amount of heat as it does. It keeps managing your sweat while you keep moving.

Odor Control Built Into the Fiber

Natural lanolin is antibacterial, which is why a wool garment stays fresh through a winter of daily wear. Airing it on the back of a chair is usually all it asks for.

7 Secure Pockets

Five outside and two inside. A chest zip, two side-entry zips, two sleeve zips with patches, and two internal chest pockets for a passport, a phone or a wallet.

Same Shape. Same Storage. A Shell Built Around Wool.

Put the two side by side and the silhouette is the one you know. The difference is in the fiber. Wool pulls moisture vapor into the fiber itself, so what comes off you has somewhere to go. Lanolin keeps the fabric fresh while you wear it. And the surface wears in as you use it, so the shoulders look better in year three than they did in year one.

Behind the shell, a diamond-quilted polyester lining holds a second layer of trapped air and keeps the hoodie holding its shape season after season.

A dense 365gsm wool weave stops wind at the surface.
Metal toggles at the hood and hem, plus adjustable cuffs, close the three gaps that matter.
A full storm flap with a zip guard covers the zip line from the hem to your chin.

Three Thousand Years of Field Testing. Here's Why Wool Beats Every Other Material.

The dense weave stops the wind. The fiber's outer cuticle sheds the rain and the snow. The crimp traps the air that keeps you warm. Nobody designed any of that - it is simply what wool is, and it is why shepherds, sailors and soldiers were wearing it long before anyone owned a laboratory.

Wears in as you use it, so it looks better in year three than in year one.
Airing it is usually enough, so washing stays occasional.
Seven secure pockets and YKK zips, so the hardware lasts as long as the fabric.

The same hoodie you already trust, in a shell built for the long run.

You Asked. We Answered.

: The shape, the storage and the adjustability are the same. The shell is what changes. Your current hoodie is 340gsm BÆRSkin MicroFleece. This one is 365gsm of 80% wool with 20% polyamide, with a diamond-quilted lining behind it. Wool handles moisture, odour and wind in its own way, and it ages differently.
