The BÆRSkin Heavy-Storm Rain Jacket 2.0 is built to insulate your clothes like a dry storage vault. Every zip is sealed. Every stitch is taped with silicone. Engineered with our proprietary BÆR-Tex Water Repellent Coating.
Most outdoor brands use PFAS in their water-repellent coating. PFAS are a group of synthetic chemicals, often called “forever chemicals” because they are highly persistent and don't break down—causing damage to the environment and serious health concerns for the human body.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that there is no safe level of PFAS exposure.
The brand new two-zip system of the Heavy-Storm Rain Jacket allows you to attach the BÆRSkin Hoodie 4.0 to the inner zip of the Heavy-Storm Rain Jacket 2.0 - while the outer waterproof zip seals the entire garment to create a 3-in-1 Waterproof Winter Hoodie with a warm fleece "lining" beneath your rain jacket.
On top of the water-repellent excellence, this jacket is made with 100% Polyester Ripstop Fabric - prevents tears, rips, and stops your jacket from absorbing dirt & mud.
So, what does RAIN-SULATION mean?
This is your personal, portable, all-weather jacket you can keep with you at all times easily - just in case you need it.
Please note that the BÆRSkin Heavy-Storm Rain Jacket 2.0 is intentionally oversized to accommodate a heavy sweatshirt/knitwear item under the rain jacket. So if you wear an XL Hoodie, an XL Rain Jacket will suffice to be worn over the hoodie.
