Your BÆRSkin Hoodie 5.0 isn't waterproof on its own, and no fleece is. Wet fleece loses its warmth, so for sustained rain, zip it into the Heavy-Storm Rain Jacket. The fleece becomes a dry, insulating inner layer. You can also wear the shell on its own or the fleece on its own, which gives you three jackets in one system.
At 20,000mm hydrostatic head, the Heavy-Storm Rain Jacket handles heavy, sustained rain and snow while staying breathable. Under the PFAS-free, SGS-tested BÆR-Tex durable water-repellent (DWR) coating is 100% Polyester Ripstop that resists tears from branches and jobsite edges. When the sky clears, it packs into its own pocket at 350 grams and 3 x 4.2 inches, small enough to fit in a hoodie pocket.

It is the internal zip pocket on the left-hand waist of your BÆRSkin Hoodie 5.0, just above the hem, and the entire pocket panel is lined with metalized RFID-blocking material. Contactless bank cards, ID cards, hotel keycards and e-passports all communicate by radio. Inside the BÆR-VAULT that signal is blocked, so nothing can be read until you take it out.
